Former vice president of Autonomy Finance Stephen Chamberlain was struck by a car on Saturday morning while out on a run in Cambridgeshire, according to his attorney.
Mr. Chamberlain was accused of conspiring to inflate the value of Autonomy, the largest software firm in Britain at the time, before it was sold to Hewlett-Packard (HP) in 2011. His former boss, who was among the six people reported missing after a luxury yacht was hit by an incredibly violent storm and sank off Sicily early on Monday, was also facing similar charges of fraud and conspiracy.
A San Diego jury cleared the two on all 15 charges.
Identifying him as a “dear client and friend,” Lincenberg said he had been out running when he was “fatally struck” by a car.
A man from Longstanton in his 50s was rushed to the hospital over the weekend with significant injuries, prompting Cambridgeshire police to issue an appeal for witnesses and information.
It stated that at approximately 10.10 a.m., a blue Vauxhall Corsa collided with a pedestrian on Newmarket Road while it was traveling on the A1123 between Stretham and Wicken.
