Millions are expected to witness the “biggest ever” complete solar eclipse, although some may be spoiled by storms.

Tens of millions of people will be excitedly observing the skies later for a total solar eclipse, but some people may not be able to enjoy the moment due to a hazy forecast.

While people assemble for what is expected to be the most watched eclipse ever, clouds are predicted in states like Texas, Oklahoma, and southern Arkansas.
But in the New England region and certain parts of Canada, where bright skies are predicted to deliver nearly optimal viewing conditions, things will be different.

Around 11.07 a.m. local time (7.07 p.m. UK time), the eclipse crosses the Pacific coast of Mexico, enters Texas 20 minutes later, and then moves northeast.

The 115-mile-wide path of totality, where the sun will be obscured by the moon’s shadow for an estimated 31 million people.

Many more ‘eclipse chasers’ have traveled in anticipation of the sight, shelling out large sums of money for lodging months in advance; some have even relocated when the weather forecast changes.

While a million people are anticipated in Niagara Falls, where a state of emergency has been proclaimed on the Canadian side to free up additional resources, others are hosting “eclipse parties.”
