LAHORE: In response to the government’s announcement on Saturday that utility outlets nationwide will be closing, Minister of Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain announced that the stores would be reorganized to better serve the public.
The government is thinking of closing utility companies as part of the rightsizing of federal ministries and organizations, the Secretary of Industry and Production stated on Friday.
Senator Saifullah Niazi questioned the government during a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee about whether utility stores around the nation will be closed.
The development was verified by Secretary Saif Anjum, who also stated that efforts were in progress to move the utility shop staff to other departments.
