LAHORE: In line with the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reiterated the government’s commitment to preserving equal rights for minorities.
On National Minorities Day, PM Shehbaz emphasized that “the constitution of Pakistan guarantees the rights of minorities.” The day honors the founder of the nation’s famous August 11, 1947 address, which advocated for equal rights for all citizens, regardless of faith.
He went on to say that their rights would be upheld in accordance with Quaid-e-Azam’s intentions and as stated in the Constitution.
He said these things on Sunday during a meeting held at the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) headquarters.
