On Monday Night Football, the Houston Texans defeated the Dallas Cowboys 34-10 to take the lead in the AFC South.
At Dallas’ AT&T Stadium, Joe Mixon led his team to their first franchise victory with a rush of 109 yards and three touchdowns.
Before the defense took over and sacked Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush five times, intercepted him once, and scored a touchdown on a strip sack, the Texans had jumped out to a 14-0 lead.
CJ Stroud, the quarterback, had a lackluster game, completing 23 of 34 passes with one interception and no touchdowns.
Houston broke a two-game losing streak and improved to 7-4 at the top of the AFC South, two victories ahead, after giving up nine penalties for 69 yards, which allowed the Cowboys to stay in the game.
