According to information obtained by Geo News on Saturday, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has chosen to name wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan as the captain of Pakistan’s white-ball cricket teams.
According to sources who spoke to Geo News, Rizwan and PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi have concluded their conversation, and the chairman has chosen to appoint the keeper as the ODI and T20I team’s captain.
According to the insiders, head coach Gary Kirsten made the recommendation, and the national cricket team’s selectors also approved the appointment.
Salman Ali Agha will take over as the national team’s white-ball vice-captain in the interim.
This occurred after former captain Babar Azam announced earlier this month that he wanted “to concentrate my performance.
