Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has verified another case of monkeypox, or Mpox, making it the province’s fourth recorded occurrence of the virus.
According to the Health Department, the afflicted person is a 47-year-old male who just got back from vacation. After being found during standard screening at Peshawar Airport, the patient was taken to the Police Services Hospital to receive medical attention.
The provincial health department has established isolation wards in a few government hospitals throughout all districts, including Peshawar, as a proactive response to the growing number of Mpox cases.
Arshad Roghani, the director of public health, underlined the department’s dedication to stopping the virus’s spread.
