KARACHI: From today till September 5, additional intense monsoon rains are predicted due to humid winds from the Bay of Bengal, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), anticipating the effects of the humid winds, has issued a warning for heavy rainfall in the province today and tomorrow (Tuesday), causing concern for landslides and floods in various locations.
According to PDMA, all district administrations are being cautious and keeping a close eye on the predicted weather.
Meanwhile, the new system is expected to bring significant rainfall to northeastern Punjab, while light rain is anticipated to strike Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and other places, according to PMD’s Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz.
