ISLAMABAD: Over the next 24 hours, more rainstorms are predicted by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) for several regions of the nation, including upper Punjab, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), south Balochistan, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), and Gilgit-Baltistan.
There could be isolated areas of heavy rainfall in AJK, upper KP, northeastern Punjab, and the Potohar region.
The synoptic condition indicates that monsoon currents are constantly making their way to the eastern and upper regions of the nation from the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal.
There was also a westerly wave trough in the country’s northern regions.
Thunderstorms have passed across a few locations in upper KP, south Punjab, Sindh, central Balochistan, and AJK in the past 24 hours.
