According to forecasts by the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Eidul Adha 2024 is most likely to be celebrated on June 17, which falls on a Monday.
According to projections made by the PMD’s Climate Data Processing Center, the crescent moon for Dhul-Hijjah will be born on June 6 at 5:38 PM.
The PMD predicts that the moon will be 26 hours and 8 minutes old in Karachi at sunset, and that visibility will last for 72 minutes following sunset. The Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will have the last say on the moon sighting, regardless of these predictions.
Timetable of holidays
The Eidul Adha holidays are scheduled for June 17–19 in the official 2024 holiday calendar. Considering that the majority of government agencies are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, the weekend will, in fact, start on June 15.
Nonetheless, the federal government is anticipated to modify the holiday timetable if Eidul Adha is verified for June 18. In the days preceding Eidul Adha, the federal government will formally announce the newly designated holidays.
