KHAIRPUR: The mother of a young maid who was allegedly killed in 2023 by Pir Asad Shah Jeelani, a powerful Pir in the town of Ranipur, Sindh, has “reached a settlement with the accused” and requested that the matter be dropped.
The mother of the slain maid, Shabnam, provided a written statement regarding her settlement with the major suspect, Pir Asad, and his wife, Hina Shah. Fayyaz Shah and Imtiaz are among the other suspects.
The development occurred today during the extra sessions judge’s hearing of the maid murder case.
Qurban Malano, the petitioner’s attorney, informed the court that she had achieved a settlement; as a result, the case ought to be dismissed once the accused is released on bail.
Shabnam’s new plea was received, and the court postponed the hearing.
