ISLAMABAD: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) extended the registration deadline on Friday for the centralized test that graduates of computer science and information technology can take to get apprenticeships with Pakistan’s leading IT firms.
The deadline for registration has been extended by the regulatory agency to January 3, 2024. The test date of January 7 is still set, though.
In order to ensure that the greatest number of eligible students register and take advantage of the opportunity, the vice chancellors/rectors and heads of the computer science and IT departments of all public and private higher education institutions (HEIs) virtually met and decided to extend the registration deadline.
The “Graduate Test” option on the Virtual University (VU) website is encouraged for students enrolled in the seventh semester of Computer Science/IT-related programs offered in accredited public and private sector universities as well as affiliated / constituent colleges, according to the HEC.
