KARACHI: To discuss taking seats on the opposition benches in the National Assembly, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) has held a crucial Rabita Committee meeting.
MQM-P leader Aminul Haque stated to the reporters in parliament that the party has called the meeting to talk about the issue. “We have called a central committee meeting to decide whether to sit as independents or on the opposition benches,” he stated.
The former federal minister, Haque, also emphasized that the MQM-P had backed Shehbaz Sharif to become prime minister in the hopes that he would keep his promises.
He bemoaned the fact that the development packages for Hyderabad and Sindh, among other promises made to MQM-P, had not yet been fulfilled.
