According to The News, Federal Planning and Development Minister Ahsan Iqbal assured the leadership of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) on Thursday that federal funds for development projects in Hyderabad and Karachi will be made available shortly.
The promise was made in a virtual meeting between the federal minister and MQM-P leaders after the party expressed displeasure with the coalition government for taking too long to complete uplift projects in Sindh’s two largest cities and made a suggestion that it might reevaluate its role in the alliance.
The federal minister participated in the online meeting from overseas. Through the video link, representatives from the pertinent government agencies also participated in the discussions.
