Following a violent attack on its employees and the suspected murder of two patients they were treating by Haitian police officers, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), a humanitarian medical organization, has halted operations in the Haitian capital, Port-au-Prince.
The tragedy happened last week as the nation’s violence situation continued to deteriorate.
According to authorities, a gang attempted to invade a posh neighborhood in Port-au-Prince on Tuesday, killing an estimated 25 individuals.
Politically, things are still dire because the nation’s ruling council ousted temporary prime minister Garry Conille this month, less than six months after he assumed office.
