After a female student named Minahail died tragically in a motorcycle accident involving a university bus, many students at the Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture in Multan began protesting.
Tensions have increased since the event on Monday, when students gathered outside the campus to express their rage and yell anti-administration slogans.
The University of Agriculture has closed for two days in observance of the slain student in reaction to the demonstrations.
A spokesman for the institution acknowledged the closure, expressing their sincere condolences for Munahal’s passing and their decision to honor him.
Amir, the bus driver who was involved in the collision, has been suspended while the investigation is ongoing.
