PESHAWAR: Over the past two nights, police have effectively thwarted militant attempts in several districts by repelling numerous terrorist attacks on police stations and checkpoints around Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The Central Police Office reports that police personnel valiantly repelled terrorist attacks that were reported in Bannu, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, and Peshawar.
An illegal Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) camp and makeshift hideouts in the hilly area between Lakki Marwat, Karak, and Mianwali were also destroyed by security personnel during operations.
Unknown assailants detonated a hand grenade at the Malazai checkpoint of the Regi police station in Peshawar. A search operation was started to find the criminals, but no casualties were reported.
