Tech tycoon Elon Musk has encouraged tennis great Novak Djokovic to address the people “directly” after the player declined a post-match interview with Channel 9, the event’s official broadcaster, at the Australian Open 2025 because he and his supporters were made fun of during the match.
Musk replied, “It’s way better just to talk to the public directly than go through the negativity filter of legacy media,” after sharing Djokovic’s post on X.
The Serbian faced a hostile audience at the Rod Laver Arena, despite defeating Jiri Lehecka in the fourth round of the match in straight sets of 6-3, 6-4, and 7-6.
He refused a courtside interview with Jim after the spectators attempted to divert his attention during the match.
