KARACHI: Armaghan Qureshi, the primary suspect in the kidnapping and murder case of Mustafa Amir, and Shiraz Bukhari were placed under physical remand for an additional five days on Thursday by an anti-terrorism court (ATC).
Armaghan was granted a four-day physical remand on February 18; this is the second extension, the first being granted on February 22.
The case concerns the suspected abduction and killing of Mustafa, a student who vanished on January 6.
The entire incident started when Armaghan opened fire on a group of members of the Karachi police’s Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC), a specialized division tasked with investigating murder and extortion cases.
