KARACHI: Despite official warnings, the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) protested the Parachinar crisis by holding sit-ins at several locations in Karachi for the eighth day in a row on Tuesday.
However, despite causing significant problems for travelers, the number of protests in the city has begun to decline.
For over a week, the authorities refused to clear commuter routes, which caused financial harm to the megalopolis by preventing the working and business classes from traveling freely.
According to Karachi Traffic Police, protesters were holding sit-ins at several significant intersections throughout the city. However, by the time this story was filed, protesters had returned to two more locations, bringing the total number of protest sites down from thirteen to only three.
The MWM protests persisted at Safari Park, according to the police.
