Voting in the by-election for NA-171 Rahim Yar Khan-III officially began on Thursday at 8 a.m. and will run until 5 p.m.
It is anticipated that 526,973 registered voters will cast ballots in the election, selecting one of the seven candidates running for the position.
As videos of voters casting their ballots have begun to circulate on social media, cases of transgressing the election code of conduct have been recorded throughout the constituency. A voter posted a video of himself casting his ballot in a polling place and with his ballot stamped on it.
While the administration claims that using phones inside polling places is prohibited, some voters even used their phones to snap images inside the booth.
