The murdered siblings, identified as 11-year-old Maryam and 9-year-old Rafia, ate the noodles their mother purchased in the Lahore neighborhood of Baghanpur Bazar, according to a police official.
The children’s health declined after consuming the noodles their mother had prepared for them, according to the police, who cited the victim’s mother’s testimony.
Maryam, 11, passed away at home, and Rafia, 9, passed away in the hospital, according to the police.
The parents of the children have reportedly refused to get the complaint registered, but the police have started new legal procedures in the case, according to a police spokesperson.
In Sukkur, two toddlers were crushed to death and two more were injured by a speeding freight train earlier.
