ISLAMABAD The News said on Thursday that the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) has begun disciplinary proceedings against a number of its staff, with eight of them already facing charges and suspension and more than a dozen more expected to face penalties.

A representative for Nadra acknowledged the development of the disciplinary action, stating that the decision was reached in accordance with the suggestions of a joint investigation team.
However, the official refrained from disclosing the identities of the people being sued because of data privacy concerns and pending legal actions.
