Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly disagreed with the statement made by Bushra Bibi, the wife of the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and declared on Friday that the country would punish anyone who attempted to undermine the friendship between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The premier added, “No one could even think about levelling such allegations,” during the opening ceremony of the Kachhi Canal repair project at Taunsa Canal in Kot Addu.
“If someone spews venom against Saudi Arabia, then what would they say about the Pakistani nation, government, and its politicians?” he said. The premier expressed regret for spreading the seeds of enmity and claimed that such remarks were motivated by political and personal goals.
