LONDON: Following President-elect Donald Trump’s resounding win in the most recent US elections, Nawaz Sharif, the president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has voiced hope that Pakistan’s ties with the US will continue to be stable and continue to improve.
After arriving in London after his trip to Geneva, the three-time former prime minister made these statements to reporters alongside his daughter and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
In response to a query on Trump’s win, Nawaz stated that the US and Pakistan have a positive relationship and expressed the hope that it would “remain good and improve further.”
Additionally, he emphasized the importance of maintaining “good relations” with the neighboring nations.
The PML-N president responded to another query by saying that the Indian cricket team ought to travel to Pakistan .
