PML-N President Nawaz Sharif responded to imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan’s “final protest” call by questioning why people would turn out in the streets in response to the former premier’s actions, which amounted to nothing more than “bringing disrepute to the country” during his almost four years in office.
“People have taken to the streets in response to Imran Khan’s calls during his reign. In a casual conversation with reporters in London, the former premier asked, “Tell me one [development] project that he could proudly present as evidence of development during his tenure.”
The PTI founder’s sister and lawyer said on Wednesday that he has announced a protest march to Islamabad on November 24. “This is the last call for a [anti-government] protest, according to Imran Khan.
