According to Khurram Dastgir Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, the party’s president, is in a good position to lead discussions aimed at fostering national unity against terrorism, The News said on Tuesday.
The former federal minister also suggested adding Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), or a representative from his party to the federal cabinet in an interview with a private news station.
Dastgir stated that although it was the final week of Ramadan and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had just returned from a trip to Saudi Arabia, plans were being developed to encourage the greatest amount of political agreement on the fight against terrorism.
