The renowned singer-songwriter said the following on his website on Tuesday: “Apple and Amazon have begun to offer the same misinformation podcast that I had rejected at Spotify.
“I have returned because I am unable to abandon Apple and Amazon, as I did with Spotify, as my music would have very limited streaming outlet for music enthusiasts.
Titled “My Return To Low Res Spotify,” the statement poked fun at the platform’s usage of low-resolution audio files. He said he was sending it “in sincere hopes that Spotify sound quality will improve and people will be able to hear and feel all the music as we made it.”
He claimed that high-definition streaming services like Qobuz and Tidal offered access to his back collection.
