“Netflix Acquires Rights to ‘Warrior’ as the Series Finds New Life Beyond HBO Max”
The martial arts crime drama, “Warrior,” will no longer be featured on HBO Max, as Netflix has secured the rights to the three-season series to integrate into its streaming library. Fans can anticipate the show’s availability on Netflix starting in February 2024. Sources suggest that there’s a possibility of a fourth season happening at its new home.
The series has traversed various platforms, starting on Cinemax for its initial two seasons in 2019 before transitioning to Max. Despite the challenges, the show’s resilience has been emphasized by showrunner Jonathan Tropper, who stated, “Warrior is a show that simply refuses to die. Through platform and regime changes, the writers, producers, cast, crew, and our stunt team continued to make something powerful, relevant, and wildly unique.”
He expressed his enthusiasm for the new opportunity, stating, “And now, thanks to Netflix, we’ve been given yet another lease on life, and I’m thrilled for everyone involved that millions more viewers around the world will get to see what they’ve created.”
