During the holy month of Ramadan, the Sindh government has released updated school timetables, affecting both single- and double-shift institutions throughout the province.
A reduction in school hours has been recommended by Punjab’s School Education Department; final permission is still pending.
The Sindh Education Department said on Thursday that primary schools that work double shifts will have a first shift from 7:30 am to 11:30 am and a second shift from 11:45 am to 2:45 pm. Primary schools that work a single shift will be open from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm.
Primary school timetables will be further modified on Fridays, with single-shift schools operating from 8:00 am to 11:30 am and the first double shift operating from 7:30 am to 10:30 am.
