An advisory warning of another bout of strong monsoon rains throughout several regions of Pakistan from August 27 to August 31 has been issued by the Met Department.
The agency has warned of the likelihood of stormy weather because of a strong air pressure system that is now located north of Gujarat, India, especially in the southern portions. Strong monsoon winds are predicted to accompany this weather system as it moves into Pakistan throughout the next 24 hours.
According to the advice, beginning on August 29, a westerly wave may impact the country’s upper regions, possibly causing the rainfall in those locations to increase. Because of the expected heavy rains, the Met Department has issued an alert regarding the possibility of flooding in low-lying areas of Sindh, Balochistan, and southern and central Punjab.
