The state of New York in the United States formally announced its willingness to enhance partnership with Punjab and Sindh during an assembly session held in Albany, when a legislative resolution was enacted.
However, the resolution did not proclaim an intention to make New York a sister state of Punjab and Sindh.
A lot of Pakistanis were also there on Wednesday for this historic event.
In its resolution, the Legislature stated: “The Legislative Body further encourages continued collaboration between New York State and the provinces of Punjab and Sind, with the aim of fostering friendship, mutual respect, and economic partnership that benefits the citizens of all regions.”
