Brazil’s star Neymar was sidelined for Friday’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Argentina and Colombia due to a thigh ailment that prevented him from being called up to the national squad.
Due to injuries, Neymar has missed over a year and a half of action for Brazil; nevertheless, since returning to Santos in February, he has seemed refreshed.
However, the ailment to his left thigh has been bothering him for the last two weeks.
The striker shared his disappointment at missing the games in an Instagram story.
“The return seemed so close, but unfortunately I won’t be able to wear the most important jersey in the world for the moment,” wrote the player.
