ISLAMABAD A new toll system for national highways and motorways was presented by the National Highway Authority (NHA) on Monday. It will go into effect on April 1.
Cars on national highways would cost Rs70 under the new toll rate, while vans and buses will cost Rs150 and Rs250, respectively. According to a notice released by the NHA, trucks with two or three axles will pay a toll of Rs300, while larger trucks would be charged Rs550 starting next month.
A number of key highways, including M1, M3, M4, M5, M14, and E35, are subject to this new tariff. The M3 Lahore-Abdul Hakeem Motorway now charges Rs800 instead of Rs700, and the M1 Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway’s automobile toll has increased from Rs500 to Rs550.
