In the upcoming Christmas special, Nicola Coughlan will make her debut in the Doctor Who world.
The actress, who gained notoriety recently for playing Bridgerton’s Penelope Featherington, said she was thrilled to play the lead in Doctor Who.
Coughlan thinks it’s “lovely” to be a part of a “family friendly” show after her sultry sequences in Bridgerton.
“It has been incredible. This year has been the busiest of my life. “On the Bridgerton press tour, I believe we visited eight different countries—but in a really nice way, with two shows of which I’m really proud,” she told The Radio Times.
