ISLAMABAD: A rented chopper carrying 15 passengers crashed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, resulting in at least six fatalities.
Nine injuries have been reported as a result of the Mi-8 helicopter crash.
A representative for Mari Petroleum Limited, a public limited corporation, stated that the accident was not related to the security situation and that the chartered helicopter fell for technical reasons close to an oil field.
It also stated that nine of the travelers were injured and that the fatalities included three foreign pilots and three others.
The representative gave information about the tragedy, stating that the unfortunate aircraft was used for private transportation in the Shewa Waziristan area.
