First unveiled in 2017, the Japanese gaming behemoth’s Switch system allows users to play games on a TV screen or a handheld device.
In recent months, there has been a growing amount of speculation regarding the release date of the next generation console, which is rumored to be called Switch 2.
However, the Kyoto-based company stated in its financial results, which were released on Tuesday, that it will make a statement before March 2025, which is the end of the current fiscal year.
Nintendo made no mention of whether it will release the successor before March of the following year or merely outline its plans for it when making the announcement.
