ISLAMABAD: In a case involving the discovery of weapons and alcohol, a court in the federal capital Islamabad on Wednesday issued an arrest warrant for Ali Amin Gandapur, the chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), without the possibility of bond.
The KP chief minister’s request for a medical leave of absence from court appearances was denied by the judge as well.
The Barakahu station house officer (SHO) was instructed by civil judge Shaista Khan Kundi to apprehend Gandapur and bring him before the court.
The case has been called three times since the morning, according to Judge Kundi, and the suspect has not appeared.
Fatahullah Burki, the lawyer’s assistant, stated that the flooding prevented the chief minister from appearing in court.
