In two separate encounters in the Dosalli and Esham neighborhoods of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s North Waziristan district, security forces killed nine terrorists and detained two more, according to a statement released by Inter-Services Public Relations on Sunday.
On January 11, the security forces carried out intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in response to reports of terrorist activity in the surrounding areas.
The first IBO was carried out in the general vicinity of Dosalli in the tribal district, where troops successfully engaged the terrorists’ location, killing six of them and apprehending two more.
Following a fierce gunfight in the Esham region, security officers subsequently eliminated three militants. According to the military’s media wing, the gunfight also injured two militants.
Additionally, it stated that ammo and weapons were found among the terrorists who were murdered.
