Captain Mohammad Rizwan has stated that the Green Shirts were not deterred by the Proteas’ home record and were really anticipating a successful series as the Pakistani squad prepares to play South Africa in the opening Twenty20 International.
Speaking to reporters outside of Durban’s Kingsmead cricket venue, Rizwan admitted that the weather and pitch are very different from those at home, making away series difficult.
He did, however, emphasize that the national team would not rest on their previous victories over the Proteas and would instead concentrate on the current task.
His comments coincide with the Men in Green’s three-match T20I series to kick off their South Africa tour today.
