LAHORE: Defense Minister Khawaja Asif stated that he supported the talks, emphasizing that all of the nation’s major players ought to convene and participate in the process in order to find a solution.
“There are politicians, the judges, the army, bureaucracy, and the media. During a speech at a ceremony on Saturday, Asif stated, “These are the power centers, and they need to sit together to resolve the issues in the country.”
The head of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), however, cautioned the government’s negotiation team not to let Imran Khan, the founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), to “take advantage of you.”
Asif’s remarks follow months of elevated political tensions as the federal government began negotiations with the PTI earlier this week at Parliament House.
