For October 2024, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has declared a significant increase in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
The revised prices for residential and commercial cylinders indicate an increase of Rs7.31 per kilogram.
The main cause of the surge, according to Ogra’s monthly evaluation, was a 3.84% increase in the Saudi Aramco-CP, which is used as a benchmark for LPG pricing.
Furthermore, this price adjustment was also impacted by a minor decrease in the average dollar exchange rate.
The statement states that the cost of a household 11.8 kilogram LPG cylinder will increase by Rs86.28 per month to Rs2965.38 from Rs2879.10 in September.
