The leader of the Balochistan National Party, Sardar Akhtar Mengal, had his room in Parliament Lodges raided by Islamabad police (BNP-Mengal).
Sajid Tareen, the acting president of the BNP, was at the lodges when the raid took place.
Akhtar Mengal claimed the kidnapping of an Islamabad-based party senator after the raid. Mengal asserted in a message on X (formerly Twitter) that Senator Kazim Rind and his son were kidnapped in Islamabad while receiving dialysis.
Mengal went on to say that Senator Naseema Ehsan has been kidnapped and is confined to her apartment.
The National Assembly and Senate sessions have already been convened, and these developments are taking place as the government gets set to propose a constitutional change pertaining to judicial reforms.
