The statement was made on Monday by the Oil & Gas Development Company (OGDCL) to boost local production of gas and oil in tandem with the rise in crude oil output from Kunar Well No. 11 in the Hyderabad region of Sindh.
“Kunar Well No. 11 is producing 960 barrels of oil per day,” an OGDCL representative stated.
The nation’s import cost will drop by $3.19 million as a result of increased output.
Previously, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Karak district saw the Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) successfully resume production from the Nashpa-4 Well.
The Nashpa-4 well is now producing up to 330 barrels of crude oil per day. In addition, the well is currently producing 21 metric tons of LPG per day in addition to 7.7 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
Government Holdings Private Limited (GHPL), Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL), and OGDCL have partnered to drill the well.
The Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) network will receive the extra gas injection, guaranteeing a more consistent gas supply for Pakistani homes and businesses.
