As the nation experiences frigid weather, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has authorized an increase in gas prices for the current fiscal year.
According to an OGRA announcement, the price of gas would increase by 25.78% for SSGC customers and 8.71 percent for SNGPL users.
While the average price for SSGC is Rs1,762.51 per MMBTU, the average price for SNGPL is Rs1,778.35 per MMBTU.
According to OGRA, the federal government has been consulted over the proposal to raise gas prices, and the government’s recommendations will be followed in making the final decision.
