On Saturday, the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) was honored on Air Force Day, which is commemorated on September 7, one day after Defence Day. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu made the tribute.
The prime minister and the chief of air staff delivered their speeches the day after the Pakistani people and army celebrated Defense Day on Friday, September 6, by expressing sincere gratitude and recognising the heroic sacrifices made by the armed forces on behalf of their native land.
Remarkably, the PAF commemorated September 7th as Martyrs’ Day at all of its bases across the nation, following the observation of Defence Day.
Quran Khawani was read as part of a solemn ceremony to honor the martyrs of 1965 and 1971.
