Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to attend the “One Water Summit” in Riyadh from December 3–4, 2024, for a two-day visit.
According to a curtain raiser released by the Foreign Office on Monday, the summit, which is a joint initiative of Saudi Arabia, France, Kazakhstan, and the World Bank, aims to advance international cooperation and a cogent international approach to water resource management through high-level political commitments.
At a roundtable at the summit that focuses on restoration, preservation, and adaptation in relation to freshwater resources and wetlands, the prime minister will give the keynote address.
Additionally, he will emphasize Pakistan’s efforts to conserve biodiversity, improve water quality, build livelihoods, boost climate resilience, and encourage water conservation.
