To facilitate the by-elections, the Punjabi district of Sheikhupura has declared December 5 to be a public holiday.
The day has been declared a holiday because it is the day of the by-election for the Punjab Assembly constituency of PP-139 Ferozewala.
To help with the election process, the Deputy Commissioner’s Office has confirmed the holiday in a notification.
This by-election comes after Rana Tanveer Hussain abandoned a previously won seat, leaving Rana Afzal Hussain to fill the void.
