According to the Daily Caller, a woman in northeastern Oklahoma became a centenarian today despite only being 25 years old.
Mary Lea Forsythe, a leapling, celebrates her 25th birthday on Thursday, although she is actually becoming 100 years old.
Leaplings are people born on Leap Day, which is observed every four years on February 29th.
Mary was born on a leap day in 1924 in Sand Springs.
She has celebrated her birthdays in non-leap years twice or three times, including with her late husband William Wayne Forsythe, who was born on March 6, according to ABC7.

“I always thought I was blessed,” Mary reportedly stated. “That was a lot of fun. We celebrated whenever we wanted.
The couple went to a diner on William’s birthday, and the server seemed skeptical of their claim to share the March 6 birthdate.
“His birthday is March 6; mine is February 29. There is no 29th on the calendar this year. So, mine is March 6,” she allegedly told the server at the diner.
