ISLAMABAD: In light of the rise in terror attacks, especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq called an in-camera meeting of the Parliamentary Committee on National Security (PCNS) on March 18.
On the recommendation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the NA speaker set the closed-door meeting for Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., the Prime Minister Office (PMO) said in a statement released on Sunday. The National Assembly Hall will host the meeting.
According to the statement, the parliamentary committee will receive a thorough briefing on the current security situation from the military command.
Parliamentary leaders of the Senate and National Assembly political parties, as well as their designated delegates, will be present during the session. Members of the relevant cabinet will also be present.
